Shondell Coleman, aka Luv Docta, grew up in circumstances that were not ideal. Shondell, the only son of a single mother who raised four children, had to face plenty of challenges during his adolescence in the streets of Chicago, Illinois. One of the main issues being homelessness and devastation, due to the poverty within the community. Luv Docta has always been enthusiastic when it comes to music. His childhood in Chicago shaped him into the diverse artist he is today. In 2010, Luv began learning the technique of freestyling, which influenced him into taking his career seriously in late 2019, when he began to invest more into himself, his dreams, and his brand to launch his music career as a whole. Soon after the announcement was made, Luv joined Elbert Muhammad (also known as Ybs Tsunami), with whom he had been friends and business colleagues for over 10 years, as they launched their own independent label, Mud Life Records.
