How one small family from the Midwest is turning their dreams into reality.
“The Best Town On Earth”. That’s the nickname of a small Wyoming (USA) town in the northeast part of the state. Upton has a population of around 900 people, and is known primarily for its grueling enduro motocross race. Not a lot of people would think any sort of groundbreaking music was coming from a place like this. But, this is where the journey would begin for a family of three who strive to create a unique listening experience for all.
Ryan Adams, or “3NAM3S”, grew up in Upton, WY until the age of 12. It’s where he learned to talk, walk, run, and breathe creativity. “Wyoming school districts are different,” Ryan told us. “You have to play an instrument in elementary school, no matter what, for at least a year.” He chose the trumpet, and began his journey into music. Ryan would go on to play for nearly 6 years, doing marching band with the high school in the 5th grade. The trumpet led to choir and developing a writing style within the Wyoming classrooms in which he grew up.
Ryan moved to Douglas and attended high school
From 2005-2009. Being in choir throughout most of his years, Ryan continued to develop in music before going to college for football. Music was put on hiatus for a good while, but in 2015 he started producing, mixing, and mastering all of his music from scratch. Fast forward nearly a decade, and he’s worked with 100’s of independent artists, toured the Midwest doing shows, and opened up for numerous acts along the way. Some of which include Bone Thugs N’ Harmony, Tech N9ne, Caskey, Mac Lethal, & more.
Insert MÍla Rose. Born in Russia, Radmila (her real name) was adopted and brought to Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 9. A dancer at heart, the rhythm of her movements translated easily into her spoken word. “I’d literally watch YouTube and rap other people’s songs aloud to myself,” MÍla told us “I think it helped me learn to speak English, and drop my Russian accent. That’s why I’m so drawn to it now as an adult.” She danced throughout school, but was very private about her musical abilities otherwise. “Are you kidding? My friends would never have guessed I could rap, sing, or produce music like I do with (Ryan) now.”
After meeting in 2020, Ryan and MÍla began writing music together within a few months. We eagerly await their next project, but for now check out “I Know” & “Dreams” on all platforms!
