Pop star Jessie J has announced that she is canceling her scheduled U.S. tour dates and postponing her European shows, as she prepares to undergo a second surgery related to her breast cancer treatment. The decision comes during the period when she was set to be on the road performing for fans.
Honest Message on Instagram
On Thursday (Aug. 28), Jessie addressed her followers in a candid Instagram video, explaining that she wanted to be direct rather than emotional on camera. “Unfortunately, I have to have a second surgery,” she shared. “Nothing too serious, but it has to be done by the end of this year. This falls in the middle of the tour I had booked.”
She added with sincerity, “I’m so sorry, I feel frustrated and sad. But I need to be better, I need to be healed.”
Tour Dates Affected
The cancellations include all of her U.S. shows that were scheduled for November. Meanwhile, her European concerts originally planned for October will now be rescheduled for April 2026, giving her time to focus fully on her recovery.
Journey With Breast Cancer
This latest update comes just months after Jessie first revealed that she had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer, shortly before releasing her single “No Secrets” in April. In June, she underwent her first surgery, followed by a difficult hospital visit weeks later due to an infection doctors initially feared might be a blood clot.
In July, however, she received a wave of positive news—tests confirmed that her cancer had not spread. Jessie shared the relief with her fans online, writing, “Happy tears are real. Thank YOU for the prayers, the love, the well wishes, the joy and all the positive energy.”
Strength and Resilience
Despite the setbacks, Jessie J continues to show remarkable strength and honesty with her supporters, prioritizing her health while staying connected with fans through social media. Although disappointed by the tour changes, her community of followers has rallied around her with messages of love, encouragement, and support.
