Este Haim and Jonathan Levin Say “I Do” on New Year’s Eve in a magical celebration that perfectly closed out the year. The bassist of sister trio Haim and the tech entrepreneur officially tied the knot in California on December 31, surrounded by close family and friends. The intimate yet star-studded ceremony marked a moment Este has dreamed about since childhood, as she shared with Vogue, which documented her final dress fitting at Louis Vuitton ahead of the big day.

A Star-Studded Celebration With Close Friends

Among the notable guests were Taylor Swift and Stevie Nicks, who were spotted together in paparazzi photos later published by People. Swift, a longtime friend of Este and her sisters Danielle and Alana, turned heads in a glamorous gold-sequined gown that perfectly suited the New Year’s Eve festivities. Her fiancé, Travis Kelce, was not seen in the wedding photos.

Swift’s bond with Haim runs deep. The artists have collaborated on fan-favorite tracks like “No Body, No Crime” from Swift’s album Evermore—where Este is even referenced as a character—and “Gasoline” from Haim’s expanded Women in Music, Pt. III.

Music, Poetry, and Full-Circle Moments

Este and her sisters also share a special connection with Stevie Nicks. While their collaboration has yet to be released, the band has teased that it’s something truly special. Adding a poetic full-circle moment to the guest list, Nicks—whose name appears in Swift’s lyrics on “Clara Bow”—also penned a poem featured on the artwork for Swift’s album The Tortured Poets Department.

A Childhood Dream Come True

In a heartfelt video filmed by Vogue, Este couldn’t hide her excitement, admitting she’s imagined her wedding day since she was five years old. She described a fairy-tale vision inspired by Cinderella, complete with a grand staircase, a dramatic gown, and her partner waiting at the bottom to take her hand.

Her stunning wedding dress was designed by close friend Nicolas Ghesquière, the women’s creative director at Louis Vuitton. Este also had two additional custom looks created for the reception and after-party, ensuring her style evolved throughout the celebration.

From Surprise Proposal to “I Do”

Este publicly announced her engagement to Levin in February with a playful Instagram post declaring she was “TAKEN.” However, the actual proposal happened earlier, on December 22, 2024, during a hike that completely caught her off guard. Dressed casually with her hair in a top knot and no makeup on, Este recalled screaming with joy and even asking fellow hikers to snap photos of the unforgettable moment.

As noted by the Haim sisters in their Vogue feature, Este is the first of the trio to get married—making the occasion even more special for the family.

A Big Year Personally and Professionally

The wedding caps off an incredible year for Este, both personally and professionally. Haim’s latest studio album, I Quit, released in July, performed strongly across the charts, reaching No. 2 on Top Rock Albums, No. 3 on Top Alternative Albums, and No. 25 on the Billboard 200.

With love, music, and meaningful friendships at the heart of the celebration, Este Haim and Jonathan Levin Say “I Do” on New Year’s Eve in a way that felt timeless, joyful, and unmistakably their own.
