Cirex is a multifaceted musician whose work bridges the worlds of heavy music, electronic experimentation, and hip hop culture. A guitarist and bassist by background, he is also deeply involved in the technical side of music creation, working as a programmer and digital producer to shape his sound.
His journey into solo experimentation began around 2007 during the era of Myspace, when independent artists were beginning to explore the possibilities of online music communities. During this time, Cirex started recording and producing his own material, blending industrial textures with metal and electronic elements. His approach was both experimental and self-driven, combining traditional instrumentation with digital production techniques.
At the same time, he began creating remixes using official acapellas released by Beastie Boys, who encouraged fans and producers to reinterpret their music. These early remix projects allowed Cirex to explore beat-making and arrangement while developing his own production style.
Hip hop, however, had always been a foundational influence. As early as 1998, Cirex was already fusing genres through his first band, Feka, which blended rap vocals with the raw intensity of hardcore music. This early experimentation with genre fusion would later become a defining characteristic of his sound.
Throughout his career, Cirex has continued to evolve as both a collaborator and a producer. He has created remixes and worked alongside artists such as Danny Diablo and NK Profeta, bringing his distinctive production style to hip hop collaborations.
Recently, he released his first official instrumental track titled Ecstacy at 95. The title references the tempo of the track—95 BPM (beats per minute)—a groove commonly associated with classic hip hop rhythms. The piece reflects Cirex’s dark, New York-influenced aesthetic, combining atmospheric textures with rhythm-driven production.
Cirex’s work represents the versatility of a modern independent artist. His sound moves fluidly across genres—from drum and bass to metal to hip hop—demonstrating a creative identity shaped by experimentation, technology, and a lifelong connection to underground music culture.
