Several contestants from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have confessed juicy details about their time on the ABC dating series in the past — especially when it comes to the overnight dates.
“I have had sex. And honestly, Jesus still loves me. From obviously how you feel, me f–king in a windmill, you probably wanna leave,” Hannah told Luke Parker during season 15. “I f–ked in a windmill. And guess what? We did it a second time!”
Kaitlyn Bristowe, who also came under fire for having sex with a contestant before the overnight dates, was quick to come to Hannah’s defense.
“Women can have sex if they choose, and women can wait till marriage if they choose. Point is, IT’S THEIR CHOICE,” the season 11 Bachelorette tweeted at the time. “When you’re making a life altering decision to find a life partner, intimacy can be important. Why is that so hard to understand?”
Theresa Nist
When Theresa stepped out of the limo in her birthday suit during The Golden Bachelor premiere in September 2023, she made it clear that sex was a subject that was definitely on the table.
After Theresa got engaged to Gerry Turner during the November 2023 finale, she revealed that their overnight date is what sealed the deal.
“He’s not going to tell you exactly what happened in the fantasy suite, I’ll tell you,” she declared during the finale. “I knocked his boots off.”
Zach Shallcross
After the season 27 star declared that he didn’t want to sleep with anyone on the show, he had sex with Gabi Elnicki — and then told fellow contestant Kaity Biggar.
“We both agreed and wanted to have sex together,” he said during a March 2023 episode. “It was very special, it was important and it was both what we both wanted and needed for the relationship. I feel terrible because, obviously, I’ve gone against my word and I have fears with how Kaity would feel, how would Ariel [Frenkel] feel. … I have a guilt about the whole week now.”
After Kaity confirmed to Gabi that she knew at the rose ceremony, the senior account executive got upset. “I feel like I’m wearing an ‘A’ on my chest,’ she said. “F—king scarlet letter over here.”
Sean Lowe
The season 17 lead made it clear he wasn’t going to have sex on the show after several years of celibacy leading up to the 2013 season. “From that moment forward, it was just a firestorm … I mean, every tabloid had me on the cover and labeled me as the ‘Virgin Bachelor,'” he said in a 2014 interview, confirming he lost his virginity in his 20s but stopped having sex for faith reasons.
Colton Underwood
Colton spoke about being a virgin when he first appeared on season 14 of The Bachelorette. After he became the season 23 Bachelor, he fell for Cassie Randolph — and hinted at what went down during their overnight date in his book, The First Time.
While he told the reader that it’s “none of your business” what happened with him and Cassie, he implied they got physical. “There was no doubt we were going to end up naked in front of each other,” he claimed, adding that they “weren’t ready.”
“He ‘felt very bad for me.’ … Don’t make me seem like this, like, pity case, like, he felt so bad for me,” Tayshia said on “Bachelor Happy Hour” in 2021. “Anyway, I’m not the only person you should be feeling bad for — there was other women that were trying to fall in love with you and they were really putting their hearts out on the line. So, if you feel bad for me in that regard? Then, sure. But no, Colton Underwood did actually not sleep in sweats and a sweatshirt that night.”
