50 Cent has persisted in making fun of Jim Jones, and it appears that one of Dipset’s own, Cam’ron, has assisted him this time.
A now-deleted Instagram snapshot that 50 shared on Friday, March 7, purportedly showed a text exchange between the It Is What It Is co-host and Cam in which the latter was providing Jones’ streaming figures, most likely for his upcoming album At the Church Steps.
According to the texts sent from the number identified as “Camron 2,” Jones’ new project, which was released on February 28, has received 5.4 million streams this year. Cam noted in his message that that equates to 3,600 album equivalent units (although he somewhat lowered the figure to 3,500).
50 wrote, “Oh no JoMo, what now?” as the caption on his picture. “[S]ay sorry, idiot Cam.”
50 had teamed up with Cam a few days before to make fun of Jones and Juelz Santana, this time for their disastrous ring walk with Gervonta Davis.
In a contentious draw that had many boxing fans believing the Baltimore native received a favorable call from the judges, the Dipset pair escorted Davis to the ring for his bout against Lamont Roach on Saturday, March 1.
50 also attacked the two Harlem rappers by reposting a video of Killa Cam’s harsh remarks regarding Jimmy and Juelz’s Instagram performance prior to the fight.
“Man, you must maintain good company. In an attempt to display a chrome heart scarf, one [ninja emoji]’s teeth fell out, and the other [ninja emoji] developed a complete grey beard. LOL.
On his sports talk show It is What It Is on Monday, March 3, Cam’ron discussed the Tank-Roach battle and accused his old Dipset groupmates of being responsible for Gervonta Davis’ subpar performance.
With a knowing smirk, he remarked, “When you have that kind of energy, and you breathe that energy, when everyone is sad, angry, and depressed and trying to look happy, but they are not really happy, it gets in you.”
Sage needs to be kept in that setting. It persists into the fight when you are in that setting, and that is sort of the outcome of the fight.
“The people you are with might fuck your energy up for some shit that you are supposed to do,” he continued. Man, you can not come out with that kind of intensity. Man, it is horrible energy. No one is content over there. Get out of there, Tank. Nasty work, dude.
