This Oklahoma City native currently residing in and representing Long Beach, has been holding her own in California’s music scene since her arrival. Her electrifying stage presence combined with her raw and real talent, have allowed her to become embraced by the West Coast as one of their own, with legendary status.
Natural Red has been nominated for and won numerous awards throughout the West Coast including the prestigious GRRRD award for “Hustle of the year” and she was recently honored with the West Coast Hip Hop “Legendary” Award, for her contribution to female hip hop on the West Coast and abroad. She has been mentored by Brother J of X-Clan and worked with the likes of DJ Battle Cat, Sir Jinx, Blaqtoven, Goldie Loc, Bo Roc, just to name a few. More recently, she has been working with legendary bay area artist C-BO, Tha Realest, Daz Dillinger and Dae One. She was given an honorary membership to the Dogg Pound, by Daz Dillinger, Kurupt Gotti and Big C Style; (The Dogg Pounds’ founder); and she was recently welcomed to the Death Row Family by John “JP” Payne, who is General Manager and co-founder of the label.
While it is obvious that her peers think highly of her as an artist, the time has come for the world to get a chance to do the same. There are not many female (or male) artists that will be able to compare to her ability to create art, with words. What Natural Red offers the industry has not been seen by a female artist in a very long time, if ever. With a level of lyrical versatility that gives her the ability to channel artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Kurupt, Xzibit, Ras Kass or even Eminem, through her pencil; all will see that she is the total package, and she is ready to take her place on the female rap throne.
