The ARRRISE and Grind CYPHER CH.2 features the local emcees within the community and nationwide to harness their skill on the microphone while spitting their lyrics over the beats provided by the producers . We are hoping that this will become an event that helps bring awareness of how talented we have within our own city from all backgrounds, so we can encourage everyone to come out and support everyone.
A cypher (or cipher) is a musical assembly where the words to a musical assembly where rappers spit their rhymes are generated spontaneously through rhyming and scatting, rather than using planned or rehearsed lines. More recently, these groups have extended to the onlookers in attendance, who are also essential to rap’s continuing excitement.
Flows, styles, and rhymes that rappers vocally blast into many ear waves, making a cypher, are created by having stupendous flow, amazing style, and awesome rhymes! Filmmaker, Director, Producer, Editor, rap critic, enthusiast and Arrrise and Grind Productions’ R. Ray Robinson brings rappers to Los Angeles to participate in the Arrrise and Grind Cypher Chapter 2!
THE ARRRISE AND GRIND CYPHER event kicked off with emcees within the community and nationwide to harness their skill on the microphone while spitting their lyrics over the beats provided by producers. Each individual is allotted a time slot of a few minutes in which they show off their skills with a selected beat from one of our producers. All performances were recorded and uploaded onto our YouTube channel.
Some rappers focus their skills to bring awareness to a social issue while others are just telling it how they see it in their lyrics. all rappers were able to spit some bars that will get you wanting more. Each and every artist is creative with the way they flow and deliver their words with so much feeling behind them. The best part of this cypher is hearing these artists perform with such liveliness and creativity.
Below is the list of rap artists: Yardy Léxandros, EverythinGR8, Alia Zin, Ali Khan Bey, J soulstice, Khzzari, Ventage, and Mikol. Prime Minister, Yardyknow, and DJ Luigi are the three main sound producers for the music video cypher. It was filmed at STUDIOBDTLA in Los Angeles. Rapper Takeoff passed away recently, and artists and crew offered their condolences.
