Ferrari is no stranger to songwriting as he began releasing his own music in the early 90’s. With the success of many top chart hits for previous works such as, “My Early Life” (1994) and “Be the Smile on Your Face” (2020), Ferrari is a recognized and appreciated storyteller who happens to tell his stories through the universal language of music.
When reflecting on the writing process for “Paint You A Love Song”, Ferrari explained, “I enjoy watching clouds and skies and rainbows, particularly seeing them through trees.” Ferrari is a visualist who views the wonders of nature in a unique way, which explains the breathtaking imagery within the song. “In ‘Paint You a Love Song,’ I wanted to find a different way poetically to express myself using those images that I enjoy. Not in the Shakespearean way but in the Ferrarian way,” said Ferrari with a laugh.
