Irregular Individuals were inspired by a variety of artists and genres. The production style is influenced by hip hop, R&B, etc; while the lyrics focus on themes such as social justice, politics and financial independence.
“The song came from an idea about creating our own dividends,” says featured artist “ELDAHRADO”.
“We wanted to write about something important but also relatable.”
Dividends’ is a song about the importance of self-care. The first verse describes how we often neglect ourselves in favor of others and how that can lead to burnout or even depression. It also touches on how we tend to prioritize others’ needs over our own, even when it’s not necessary or fair for us to do so.The second & third verse focus on how important it is for us as individuals to take time out for ourselves each day, whether that means meditating or going for a walk outside–anything that helps us recharge so we don’t get worn down by life’s demands!
