In a recent live performance, Snoop Dogg paid tribute to the 1993 MTV Video Music Awards, one of the most memorable events in his career.
“Murder Was the Case” was the first song Tha Doggfather sang when he appeared on Noochie’s Live From the Front Porch recently. Halfway through the second stanza of the song, he got out of his wheelchair to stand up. This was a reference to the track’s 1993 VMA performance, in which he performed it in the same way.
Not only was the 1993 version of the song a fantastic live performance, but also gained notoriety because police officers were present at the ceremony and ready to apprehend Snoop for murder. “I am innocent,” he declared as he concluded his performance, eluded the detectives, and surrendered himself in later that evening.
In 1996, Snoop was found not guilty of the crime. The record was set only a year ago.

In other Snoop news, his daughter Cori Broadus gave birth to her first kid three months before her due date, making him a grandfather for the eighth time.
On February 28, 25-year-old Cori shared a photo of the newborn’s foot on Instagram along with the caption, “The princess arrived at 6 months.”
She went on to say: “I have cried a lot, compared a lot, and blamed myself for not being able to provide her with everything she needed.” However, God never fails to show me that He has me!
“The sweetest baby girl arrived today at 25 weeks! I am grateful that God has brought me thus far.
Additionally, Cori disclosed that her baby was in a neonatal intensive care unit following a cesarean delivery. After Cori, who already has lupus, was diagnosed with HELLP syndrome, her pregnancy was deemed high-risk.
The Cleveland Clinic states that HELLP syndrome is a pregnancy problem that damages the liver and blood system and, if left untreated, can be fatal.
Snoop Dogg wanted her to have a boy, Cori previously disclosed.
My parents were ecstatic since their daughter was expecting a child. But my dad wanted a grandson,” she said to E! News last year.
