Born and bred in Boston, Massachusetts, and now residing in Los Angeles, California, Maia Clayre stands out in the cutthroat music business as one of the few active transgender rappers. As an individual, she is both grounded and outgoing, with a lively sense of humor. Having spent the majority of her childhood with her grandma because both of her parents are drug addicts.
